The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) contracts with engineering firms, construction companies, professional consultants, and a variety of vendors to provide the equipment and supplies needed to deliver water services to the City of Pittsburgh. From infrastructure projects to modernize our facilities, contractors to support our operational work, and the materials needed to treat and process water, many of our contracts range from several thousand dollars to several million dollars depending upon the project and scope of work. 

It’s important that companies interested in bidding on or submitting proposals can easily find the information they need to participate in these opportunities. The following information lists current opportunities, describes the process, and will help you get started. 

 

 

Current Solicitations

 

Request for Proposals for the Lanpher Redundant Rising Main Project

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to Charlene Juratovic at cjuratovic@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Nicole Dickun, Procurement Manager, via e-mail to:  ndickun@pgh2o.com, no later than August 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
 
Through the issuance of this RFP, PWSA is seeking qualified design firms that are financially and technically qualified to perform the scope of services as described herein. PWSA is interested in those firms that provide innovative solutions to the challenges of constructing this pipeline through heavily congested neighborhoods. PWSA is looking for firms that have experience in design and construction of large diameter transmission mains, trenchless technologies and can exhibit cost savings and schedule acceleration.  
 
All Bidders interested in submitting a proposal must attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting to be held in the Authority’s Conference Room, 1200 Penn Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15222 on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Offerors to ask questions.  
 
Proposals are due September 4, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. EST.
 
 

 

Invitation for Bids for the Purchase of a Real Time Leak Noise Correlator, FCS TriCorr Touch Pro (or Approved Equal)

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to cjuratovic@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Jim  Tracey, Fleet and Contract Administrator, via e-mail: jtracey@pgh2o.com, no later than August 14, 2018.
 
The purpose of this contract is to real time leak noise correlator delivered and for training to be provided for its use.
 
Bids are due August 21, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. EST.
 

 

Invitation for Bids for Security Officer Services

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to cjuratovic@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Nicole Dickun, Procurement Manager, via e-mail: ndickun@pgh2o.com, no later than August 14, 2018.
 
The purpose of this contract is to establish security services, including but not limited to, an unarmed security officer(s) to patrol at the Highland I Reservoir and the Water Treatment Plant.
 
All Bidders interested in submitting a bid in response to this solicitation are invited to attend an on-site Pre-Bid Meeting to be held on Friday, August 10, 2018. Bidders shall meet in the lobby of 900 Freeport Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15238, promptly at 8:00 a.m. The Pre-Bid meeting will conclude at the Highland Reservoir, 100 Reservoir Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Offerors to ask questions. No further site visits will be made available.

Submitting a Bid or Proposal

Contractors, consultants, and vendors interested in submitting a bid or proposal in response to an advertised solicitation should be sure to follow the instructions provided in the announcement and/or solicitation.
 

Awarding Contracts

The PWSA Board of Directors approves the award of contracts, when required by the Delegation of Authority, at monthly public PWSA Board Meetings. Our meetings are held on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise noted or announced.
