Doing Business with PWSA

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) contracts with engineering firms, construction companies, professional consultants, and a variety of vendors to provide the equipment and supplies needed to deliver water services to the City of Pittsburgh. From infrastructure projects to modernize our facilities, contractors to support our operational work, and the materials needed to treat and process water, many of our contracts range from several thousand dollars to several million dollars depending upon the project and scope of work. 

It’s important that companies interested in bidding on or submitting proposals can easily find the information they need to participate in these opportunities. The following information lists current opportunities, describes the process, and will help you get started. 

 

 

Current Solicitations

 

Invitation for Bids for the 2018 Water Relay Contract

PWSA PROJECT NO. 2018-325-101-0

 
All bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to cjuratovic@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Autumn Barna, Procurement Manager, via e-mail: abarna@pgh2o.com, no later than June 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.  A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Authority’s Conference Room, 1200 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15222.  The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Bidders to ask questions.
 
Bids are due June 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. EST.

Request for Proposals for Disaster Recovery Services

PWSA PROJECT NO. PWSA95

All proposals bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to cjuratovic@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held on May 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Authority’s Conference Room, 1200 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA  15222.  The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Bidders to ask questions.  All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Autumn Barna, Procurement Manager, via e-mail: abarna@pgh2o.com, no later than June 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. 
 
 Proposals are due June 12, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. EST.

All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Autumn Barna, Procurement Manager, via e-mail: abarna@pgh2o.com, no later than June 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.  A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Authority’s Conference Room at the Aspinwall Water Treatment Plant, 900 Freeport Rd., Pittsburgh, PA, 15238.  The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Bidders to ask questions.

Submitting a Bid or Proposal

Contractors, consultants, and vendors interested in submitting a bid or proposal in response to an advertised solicitation should be sure to follow the instructions provided in the announcement and/or solicitation.
 

Awarding Contracts

The PWSA Board of Directors approves the award of contracts, when required by the Delegation of Authority, at monthly public PWSA Board Meetings. Our meetings are held on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise noted or announced.
