Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) contracts with engineering firms, construction companies, professional consultants, and a variety of vendors to provide the equipment and supplies needed to deliver water services to the City of Pittsburgh. From infrastructure projects to modernize our facilities, contractors to support our operational work, and the materials needed to treat and process water, many of our contracts range from several thousand dollars to several million dollars depending upon the project and scope of work. 

It’s important that companies interested in bidding on or submitting proposals can easily find the information they need to participate in these opportunities. The following information lists current opportunities, describes the process, and will help you get started.

Current Solicitations

 

INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) FOR THE HIGHLAND RESERVOIR #1 PARAPET WALL REPAIRS

PWSA PROJECT NO. 2017-322-106-1

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to procurement@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be to Nicole Dickun, Procurement Manager, via e-mail:  ndickun@pgh2o.com, no later than April 24, 2019.

Work under this contract includes repair and rehabilitation work at the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority Highland Reservoir #1. The work is generally comprised of structural repair of the concrete parapet wall around the perimeter of the reservoir, cleaning and sealing of existing concrete joints, and installation of a protective cover at the top of the existing reservoir liner.

All Bidders interested in submitting a bid in response to this solicitation are required to attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting to be held on April 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Prevailing Time in the Authority’s conference room located at 1200 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Bidders to ask questions. The individual responsible for overseeing the successful completion of the Project, such as the Bidder’s project executive or project manager for the Owner’s Project must be in attendance at the mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting.

 

Bids are due May 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. EST.

 


 

Invitation for Bids for Ground Maintenance Services at Various Locations

PWSA PROJECT NO. PWSA118

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to procurement@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Thoryn Simpson, Senior Contract Specialist, via e-mail: tsimpson@pgh2o.com, no later than April 23, 2019.

It is the intent of the Authority to establish a contract to Grounds Maintenance Services at Various Locations. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, and appurtenances necessary in order to complete the scope of work required as described in the solicitation.

All Bidders interested in submitting a bid in response to this solicitation are invited to attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting to be held on April 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. EST at the PWSA, Main Water Treatment Plant 900 Freeport Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15238. 

 

Bids are due April 30, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. EST.

 


Invitation For Bids for 2019 Green Infrastructure Maintenance Services

PWSA PROJECT NO. 2019-GI-105-0

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the solicitation that can be obtained by sending an e-mail to procurement@pgh2o.com.  There will be no charge for the solicitation, as it will be sent via e-mail. All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be directed to Nicole Dickun, Procurement Manager, via e-mail: ndickun@pgh2o.com, no later than April 17, 2019.

Through the issuance of this Invitation For Bids (IFB), The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) is seeking proposals for green infrastructure (GI) maintenance services at various sites located throughout PWSA’s service area as required or directed.

A pre-bid will not be held for this contract.

No bonds are required.

 

Proposals are due April 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. EST.

All questions relating to the solicitation itself shall be to Nicole Dickun, Procurement Manager, via e-mail:  ndickun@pgh2o.com, no later than April 11, 2019.

Work of the Contract includes professional engineering, landscape architecture, ecological, and hydrology services for the A-42 Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Conceptual Design Project.

All Bidders interested in submitting a bid in response to this solicitation are required to attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting to be held on April 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Prevailing Time in the Authority’s conference room located at 1200 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of the contract requirements and to allow Bidders to ask questions. Submitting a Bid or Proposal

Contractors, consultants, and vendors interested in submitting a bid or proposal in response to an advertised solicitation should be sure to follow the instructions provided in the announcement and/or solicitation.
 

Awarding Contracts

The PWSA Board of Directors approves the award of contracts, when required by the Delegation of Authority, at monthly public PWSA Board Meetings. Our meetings are held on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise noted or announced.
