Parker Street in Etna Borough Reopens to Traffic
Road was closed due to major PWSA repairs to Lanpher Rising Main

Pittsburgh, PA - At approximately 1 pm today, Parker Street from Washington Street to Koehler Street reopened to vehicle traffic. Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) contractors repaved this section of Parker Street after it completed repairs to the 60-inch diameter Lanpher rising main in late June. In addition, PWSA restored the roadway impacted by Hampton Shaler Water Authority’s adjacent water line replacement project. The roadway had been closed since February.

“On behalf of PWSA, I would like to thank the nearby residents and affected commuters for their patience as we completed our repair and restoration work. We also appreciate the collaboration demonstrated by our neighbors in the Borough of Etna and Shaler Township,” said PWSA Interim Executive Director Robert Weimar.
