We all have a part to play in protecting our nation's waters. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act, PWSA will partner with local non-profit organizations Allegheny CleanWays and Friends of the Riverfront to participate in river- and land-based cleanups in Southside Riverfront Park. From 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., approximately 80 PWSA volunteers and their families will collect litter and debris along the river and Three Rivers Heritage Trail, clear nearby stormwater grates, and venture out in Allegheny CleanWays’ boat to help clean up the Monongahela. Following the volunteering event, employees will gather at a nearby restaurant for an afternoon of food and fun.
