Pittsburgh, PA - Will Pickering, Chief Executive Officer of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority congratulates Radhika Fox on her appointment by President Biden to the EPA in the following statement:
“The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) congratulates Radhika Fox on her appointment to the role of Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water at the EPA. Her appointment by President Biden is a recognition of her many accomplishments as the CEO of the U.S. Water Alliance. Her leadership on water policy, equity, and protecting public health and the environment has inspired so many people across the water sector, including many of us at the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.
Under her leadership at the U.S. Water Alliance, PWSA joined a national network that actively discussed and learned from each other on a range of challenges facing the water sector. The Alliance also organized Pittsburgh’s Water Equity Learning Team, which includes PWSA. The Equity Learning Team created opportunities to collaborate with water utilities from across the country and engage with local community leaders on critical equity issues such as aging water infrastructure, workforce development, and water equity among our most vulnerable customers. We are grateful for her work with PWSA and appreciate the dialogue she helped to facilitate within Pittsburgh.
We wish Radhika the best of luck in her new role. We know she will be an inclusive and collaborative force at the EPA, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue with her and the US Water Alliance about solutions to the country’s most pressing water challenges.”
