It goes without saying that without clean water healthy communities would not thrive. Pittsburgh has come a long way since the rivers used to be open sewers for industry and sewage, and we still have a lot of work left to do. Given the historic importance of the Clean Water Act on restoring the health of Pittsburgh’s iconic rivers, ASCE Pittsburgh along with its host partners are planning a series of events and a clean water festival to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Clean Water Act efforts.
The Clean Water Festival on Saturday, October 15th (the weekend prior to the 50th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act on October 18th, 2022) will be free and open to the public with food trucks, exhibitors with free swag, artists, commemorative free t-shirt giveaway to the first 200 attendees, and presentations from water experts and water related activities for all ages.
