Pittsburgh Water Equity Taskforce

History

As described by the US Water Alliance, the Water Equity Taskforce is a network of cities that work together to develop more equitable water policies and practices. This initiative is advancing the understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and promising interventions to promote equitable water management.

The initial Pittsburgh Water Equity Learning team began meeting in 2019. Over the next two years, they developed a consensus on the challenges and opportunities facing our communities and setting the current framework for actionable outcomes. The taskforce has expanded and adapted as community needs and potential partnerships shift.
