This project, in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will replace three water mains on several streets, providing more reliable water service to our customers.

Service line verifications will begin after Labor Day weekend. Water main installation will follow.

  • Goe Avenue (Brighton Road – Wapello Street)
  • Wapello Street (Goe Avenue – Cornell Street)
  • Cornell Street (Wapello Street – Wickshire Street)
  • Termon Avenue (Brighton Road – Wickshire Street)
  • Pemberton Street (Brighton Road – Wickshire Street)
  • Purdue Street (Pemberton Street – Cornell Street)
  • Cornell Street (Purdue Street – Wickshire Street)
  • Wickshire Street (Pemberton Street – Cornell Street)
  • Alleyway between Wapello and Lois Way
  • Atkins Street (Termon Avenue – Goe Avenue)
  • Parviss Street (Termon Avenue – Goe Avenue)
  • Harvard Circle
  • Wapello Street (Goe Avenue – dead end)
  • Atkins Street (Goe Avenue – Benton Avenue)
  • Atkins Street (Benton Avenue – dead end)

Locations & Schedule

Start Date: Summer 2024

Completion Date: Summer 2025

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Traffic Patterns: The street will be closed to local traffic during working hours and will be plated and re-opened at the end of the work day.
