PWSA sets expectations for on-call consultant partners in recent orientation session

On September 19, PWSA held an On-Call Consultant Orientation session to bring our new cohort of consultants up-to-speed on our policies and procedures and prepare them to uphold our stringent standards.

Over the next five years, PWSA has budgeted approximately $1.8 billion to be put towards critical capital improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades. To help us deliver on these critical investments, we often complement our own in-house engineering expertise by partnering with private engineering services firms.

A key arm in this network of firms is a group we call our on-call engineering services consultants. This pool of qualified firms is selected to complete various capital improvement projects on an “as needed” basis. This streamlined practice reduces the time it takes to procure services to complete essential work, all while further building our network of expertise.

On September 19, we held an On-Call Consultant Orientation session to bring these consultants up-to-speed on PWSA policies and procedures and prepare them to uphold our stringent standards.

In all, nearly 70 consultants from our recently selected pool joined virtually or in person to hear from our team on a variety of topics like: our Supplier Diversity Program, environmental compliance, engineering standards, procurement, and much more.

By ensuring the consultants we work with are proactively informed of our standards and expectations, we're confident they'll help us deliver on our mission to protect public health and the environment through the delivery of safe, reliable water services. Thank you to those who joined us for this important session.
