The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority is hosting an online meeting to provide an update on Phase Two of the Woods Run Stormwater Project in Riverview Park. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the project and ask questions.
The meeting recording will be posted online afterward.
About the Project
The Woods Run Stormwater Project will use green stormwater infrastructure in Riverview Park to capture rainwater runoff, stabilize streams, and redirect and store stream water. During the first phase of the project, rain gardens were installed along portions of Riverview Avenue near Watson’s Run and Horseshoe Bend. The second phase of the project includes plans for stream restoration work and rain gardens in the lower portion of Riverview Park near the Mairdale Avenue entrance. These improvements will help to reduce park flooding, erosion, and combined sewer overflows to the Ohio River.
