The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority is hosting a hybrid in person and virtual meeting to review preliminary designs for the Haverhill Stormwater Improvements Project. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the project, share input, and ask questions.
About the Project
The Haverhill Stormwater Improvements Project aims to address a groundwater seep and related slope stability issues at City-owned vacant properties on Haverhill Street at the intersection of the East Hills and Homewood neighborhoods. The groundwater seep on Haverhill Street is contributing to erosion and sediment control issues in the area. These issues are negatively impacting a nearby stormwater infrastructure project that was constructed in 2016 at the intersection of Oakwood and Batavia Streets. The project is also evaluating repairs and/or improvements to the Oakwood and Batavia stormwater infrastructure.
