In the past few years alone, we've made great progress fostering a culture of environmental compliance and ethics across our organization. To bring our readers and customers up to speed on these two important topics, this issue of Currents is dedicated to the progress we’ve made on those fronts.
But what does environmental compliance and ethics mean to us and our customers?
Environmental compliance is the foundation of our commitment to operating in accordance not only with the strict requirements of the law, but also in a manner that is consistent with high ethical and professional standards in the delivery of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services to our customers.
Ethics, on the other hand, represents our commitment to act independently, impartially and responsibly without conflict of interest and in the best interest of the Authority and you, our customers. Ethics is intended to preserve public trust and to promote public confidence in the integrity of our operations and enhance our efficiency.
We have a clear vision for the future and the resources and dedicated staff to get there. These past few years, we've made many transformative changes to show our commitment to the environment and our vision to safeguard our water resources.
I’d like to thank our employees and our Board of Directors for their unwavering support of our Environmental Compliance and Ethics Program.
I encourage you to continue reading for examples of our Environmental Compliance programs in action.
